One of the most popular and talented German-American lawyers, Peter Marcuse sadly passed away at the age of 93. His sudden death made everyone upset in his community as he was a great lawyer of all time. According to the reports, Peter Marcuse took his last breath on March 4, 2022. May he rest in peace. Well, the news of his death was confirmed on social media platforms. Being a lawyer, he was the professor emeritus of urban planning. Maybe, most of people don’t know about this but he was the only child of philosopher and critical theorist Herbert Marcuse.

Our sincerest condolence to family & friends. Peter has long been one of the most radical voices in Planning and his legacy is monumental to the field. He was a long-time member of PN, since its founding”. His colleagues and community members took social media to pay him tributes and expressed their deep condolence.
What Was Peter Marcuse Cause of Death?
The professor, Peter Marcuse was born on November 13, 1928, in Berlin, Germany. Later he immigrated to the US in 1933 at the beginning of the Third Reich. He took a JD from Yale Law School in 1952 and then took PhD from UC Berkeley in City and also Regional Planning in 1972.
He chose to become a lawyer and then, he began his career as a lawyer in New Haven and Waterbury, Connecticut. At the place, he served on the Board of Alderman and participated in the Freedom Summer in Mississippi in 1964. After completing his PhD, he became a professor of Urban planning at UCLA from 1972 at Columbia University.

The Right to the City and Occupy Movement was written by Peter Marcuse. He has a beautiful family including his wife Frances and three children. Irene Marcuse was a novelist and died last year, UC Santa Barbara history professor Harold Marcuse, and the third child is Andrew Marcuse.
